Fall Farm Tours

One of the highlights of the fall season in North Bay are the farm tours and harvest festivals hosted by nearby farmers. The North Bay area is rich with small-scale family farms and medium-scale farmers who ply their wares at the local North Bay Farmer’s Market all year-round.

The refreshing cooler air in the fall, complemented with North’s Bay’s famous sunny blue skies, leads to an invigorating day at one of the area’s farms where you can visit a pumpkin patch and pick your own, play with or meet different barnyard animals, learn about sustainable farming practices, let the ‘kids run wild’ in safe activities like a corn maze and end the day in the warmth of a campfire eating farm fresh food.

Leisure Farms

Located 30 minutes west of North Bay and for the whole month of October, Leisure Farms host their annual Pumpkin Patch event, a wonderful Fall Farm Tour fun for the whole family. Expect to spend a full morning or afternoon having fun braving the haunted barn, keeping warm by the bonfire in the bush, getting lost in the corn maze, loading up the pumpkin canon, taking the obligatory picture beside the mountain of pumpkins, decorating a free pumpkin, and enjoying a free cookie and hot chocolate for kids aged between 1 – 99. Old McDonald’s Family Farm

This small-scale regenerative and sustainable agriculture farm, 50 minutes from North Bay, aims to provide a place where kids and adults alike can play and learn in mother nature, get a little bit dusty perhaps, and connect with the chickens, ducks, bunnies and pigs raised there. Old McDonald’s ‘Fall Family Fun Experience’ offers a perfect mix of safe kid-friendly activities with a corn maze, natural play area, straw pit, farm hoppers horse arena, tractor swings, barnyard friends, a colouring tent and more!
